Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar

After a ten year hiatus while living out of the area, we returned to find that Jax is as incredible as we remembered. Every dish from the apps to the entrees were perfection! The calamari was lightly breaded and very tender. The oysters were fresh, perfectly shucked, and the mignonette was as good as it gets. The gumbo is better than most I’ve had in Louisiana, and I travel there a lot for work, nice dark deep roux and rich flavor! The yellowfin tuna was beyond words, my wife never orders tuna anywhere, sushi or otherwise, but this dish was on another level. The halibut dish was equally as good, I love halibut having lived in Alaska and catching my own, Jax is way better than my own fresh caught, the beluga lentils very tasty. Overall, perfect, I hate to keep using that word, but it was perfection. And Kayla’s service was above and beyond while being very friendly and personable!

Very overrated. Food was all super bland and ridiculously expensive. $30+ for a hotdog bun half filled with cold lobster and mayo. Service was decent but nothing special. If I'm going to pay 100 bucks per person for our family to eat, it's gotta be better. The restaurant is so loud you can barely hear the people you're sitting with. I won't be back any time soon.

Colorado... Seafood. At first glance, you might not think these two words go together. However, Jax Fish House lives in that space quite comfortably, even in a landlocked state. With above average quality, balanced cocktails, and wait staff with your needs in mind, it's no wonder this location keeps it's patrons coming back. Although the prices can feel steep, for those looking for authentic, fresh seafood for their next date or special occasion, you can't get much better.

Our experience here was phenomenal from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, & extremely helpful upon ordering or making substitutions. We felt the environment was relaxing & even a bit romantic. Prices were reasonable especially with the economy the way it is and everything being ordered in. We highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly be back if we have the opportunity during another visit to Colorado Springs.

I recently had an amazing dining experience at Jax Fish House in Fort Collins. Everything about it exceeded my expectations. I had some oysters, a pasta dish, and the lobster mac. All are dishes I would recommend. The pasta was the perfect amount of spicy that I liked and the lobster mac was just all around fantastic. The service was exceptional. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and eager to help The flavors, service, and atmosphere come together to create an unforgettable dining experience.
